more pretty things

playing with the sticker dots from my Ermie order, got totally mesmerized for a good 20 minutes and then some more the next day; my first dyeing project, wowza; gorgeous tomatoes also from Jennifer, thank you!!; Sheila Hicks rocks from a textile book at the library.

more nature please

Note to self: More nature, more balance.

It's amazing how refreshed and rejuvinated, and therefore productive I been these last several weeks. This, a result of being immersed in nature in the weeks previous. This means unplugged and forced to adjust to peace and quiet. Reminding myself that it's so important to keep that balance because it's so easy to get caught up and forget. It seems the only way to survive in an urban lifestyle. Hoping this trip and weekend hikes will sustain me through the rest of the year.

around town as summer winds down

I've been obsessed with old rugs, moroccan bag and rug at Mosaik; sesame soymilk at Viet Soy; Sum Vespertine wallpaper at Walnut Wallpaper; Perhaps a birthday cake in the ref at Little Flower; and S's zoris.

big pants

I made the biggest pair of pants at Haystack. This was in response to an amazing pair of silk pants previously owned by an Indian maharaja. Funny, fun, crazy, wonderful, random but not. We added the shapes that afternoon because the wind and sun's rays were making these amazing shadows.
