Oh how fun! I'm glad you enjoyed the extra goodies, and wow- you are so talented- your first dye project is stunning. It blows my little old tie dye out of the water...how did you do it?

thanks! our first project in the class was resist dying using pressure. I folded the piece of muslin, then I used clamps (the dot), clamped woodblocks (the triangle area), string (the tie dye area) and I think I also included a paperclip (the thin u shaped lines in the top right quadrant) to create the resisted area. It's kind of like shibori where you are covering up an area of the fabric so that it is not exposed to the dye. our instructor prepared the chemical dye and we just dropped our clamped cloth in. it was very cool.
